Requirements:

  • Valid Business and/or Salon/Shop Licenses

  • Must maintain a valid Washington State professional license in Cosmetology, Hair Design, Esthetics, or Barbering, as applicable.

  • Must provide proof of liability insurance with coverage of at least $100,000.

  • Hair braiders are not required to hold a professional Cosmetology license unless otherwise required under Washington State law. However, hair washing and blow-drying services must be performed by a properly licensed practitioner.
